Lean Automated Workstations
This single operator station is capable of bolting together meter components up to 8500 lbs of pressure while insuring that the torque is precise within just a percent or two. Integration of precision air-over-oil hydraulic actuator with precision positioning and torque control insures correct outcome every time.
The Operator is completely protected from any product defect or machine error as the part is contained in a locked compartment during the assembly process. This time can be used to operate another station or to complete a separate part of the entire process without undue strain or pressure, allowing smooth flow of products that are completed to repeatable exacting specifications.
This station can be taught by simply putting the station in "Teach" mode and moving the driver to each position desired in the order desired and telling the control to "Learn". The station repeats each motion and function as taught. Thus, adding a new part is as simple as providing an appropriate pressure plate and a few minutes to complete the teaching.
Because of the variety of product and the varying quantities of product made on any given day (this may be several different parts assembled in any given shift), the tool change time is minimized to just a few seconds.
