Precision Bolt Driving Station
This small footprint (1 sq meter) is capable of assembling parts bolted together with precision torque on each bolt while the parts are held together with precision pressure of a few hundred pounds up to 8,500 pounds. The driver is mounted on a two dimensional servo positioning system. This system can be taught to tighten to a wide range of torques and to tighten in any sequence, order or pattern desired by the operator. Tool change takes approximately 30 seconds, thus helping reduce economic production quantities. This station work height is controlled electronically and programming of process data can be obtained for records and analysis using a simple Ethernet connection provided.
This highly flexible station with its quick change tooling is very advantageous in situations where production quantities are small and multiple product configurations need to be completed each shift while keeping costs very competitive.
